Sensei Adams,

Today while playing with the neighborhood kids, Kacie Majeed, who is 7 years old, was confronted by an older boy who appeared to be about 10 or 11 years old. He decided to disrupt the games being played by the other kids. He grabbed Kacie from behind and pinned her arms down. Kacie immediately kicked her leg backward and hit him in the private area with her foot and the big kid dropped her immediately. She then stomped on his foot. He then tried to grab her again and Kacie bit him on his arm. She saw her chance to get away and ran home screaming mommy, mommy, all the way home. This was her first experience being held and bullied like this and I was proud of her for defending herself and seizing the moment  to run away. The outcome of this fight and her ability to defend herself and get away is a direct result of the training she received from you at Family Karate Center.

Thank you Again!

Kacie Majeed has moved to South Carolina and has been out of training for 9 months while we tried to find her a suitable trainer in marital arts.  We tried 2 or 3 different trainers but none of them compared to Sensei Ricky Adams so we simply did not train with anyone else for nine months because I did not want anyone holding her back.  We finally found Team Hurricane in Greenville Sc and to my surprise Kacie walked in as the senior belt at only 7 years of age.  The Black belts at this particular DoJo are the only one that speak the Japanese language until kacie arrived.  Sensei Ricky Adams had laid the foundation for kacie to succeed and she was able to walk in speaking the Japanese language and was well equipt to do the techniques that Sensei Adams had taught her even after a nine month delay in training. We have traveled all over and we were not able to find anyone as professional and as expert as Sensei Ricky Adams. I thank god he took kacie in at 3 years of age and laid the foundation of martial arts for her. It is because Of Ricky Adams that kacie Majeed is above and beyond most students in other DoJo's.  We will Never forget Sensei Adams or his daughter Mariah Adams for the training she received from both of them. We will be eternally grateful because I know that when Kacie Needs to defend  to defend herself, Family karate will be the direct reason as to how she does it and I have seen what is out there and there in no other Sensei for us. Thank you so much Sensei Adams for all of your help regarding kacie. Because of you she is a stronger, more confident child and she stives way beyond the other students in her new DoJo.    God Bless You and your family.................Terrie Majeed     -   Greenville, SC
Sensei,

This is Brandon aka Skeeter from California. I found your website and I hope all is well with you and your family. Your site looks nice and it
seems like your association is doing great!  You truly deserve the best that life has to offer.

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately and I have some things I would like to say to you. I'm not sure if I ever told you or not. I really appreciate everything you did for me in my martial arts training. You truly are a great teacher and mentor.

You treated me like one of your kids and I felt like you were the father I never had. You taught me so much about life and respect, and I know it was from your teaching that I did so well in the Marine Corp (Brandon was Marine of the Year twice and the NCO of the year) and life. I just wanted to thank you and let you know how much of an influence you had on my life. You have an unbelievable ability to bring the very best out of people, I am a direct reflection of your teachings.

I would also like to formally apologize again for the falling out we had in the past. I was a young man and very confused about my training. It was not your fault at all, just stupidity on my part. I owe so much more than that.

Just for your info. I am now a brown belt under the legendary Rickson Gracie. I won the Gold Medal at the 2007 Pan American Jiu Jitsu Championships (the largest Jiu Jitsu Competition in America) and the Silver Medal in 2008. Again you are the reason I won these medals. You taught me how to win, and how to be a winner.

If there  is anything I can do for you, Please don't hesitate to ask.

Your Student and Friend,

Brandon Hetzler

Sensei:
Just wanted to let you know that I recently traveled to Brazil to compete in the World Championships.
I finished with the SILVER MEDAL in the Brown Belt Division. Hope all is well with you, just wanted to let
you know how your student and friend is doing. Once again I thank you for all you did for me and
all that you taught me about martial arts and life.

Thanks

Sensei  Adams,

I wanted to take a quick moment to tell you how special you are to Ayden and myself.
I adopted Ayden at birth as a single parent and for a brief while I was engaged to a man
that Ayden called Dad for a short time, he left last March. So it has been hard for Ayden
and he really like's the "guy contact" and he so respects you and everything you have taught him.
I know that I can speak of your disappointment in him when he makes bad choices and he
sincerely wants to do better next time. I just wanted to say Thank you for helping him and I hope
that you know the impact that you have on these children. It is awesome! So we will see you in
January and Ayden will still have karate of course at the school but we wish you the best Holiday ever!

God Bless You,

Sherry

Sensei:

Just wanted to inform you that I just WON the 2009 World NO-GI Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
Once again the discipline and winner attitude you taught me has greatly helped me.
Thanks again for all that you taught me.
