CMAC, INC. SPRING INVITATIONAL A SUCCESS!

Saturday, May 31, 2008 the Christian Martial Artist Coalition, Inc. held its 1st ever Benefit Tournament at Morrison United Methodist Church, Leesburg, Florida. With only approximately  50 competitors, it was small, but very fun. Many exclaimed their excitement at the opportunity of gaining competition experience in a "Christian Environment."

14 Sensei's from around Florida participated in the Referee/Judging of the event. Although it was small the event still made money for CMAC,INC. sponsorship of those students who NEED martial arts training.

Sponsors who made the event possible were;

Cecil Clark Chevrolet
Center State Bank
Lassiter Ware Insurance
Leesburg Evening Rotary Club
Classic Colors of Central Florida

The next  event is tentatively scheduled in October 2008.

Below is an e-mail I received recently

Sensei Adams,

Today while playing with the neighborhood kids, Kacie Majeed, who is 7 years old, was confronted by an older boy who appeared to be about 10 or 11 years old. He decided to disrupt the games being played by the other kids. He grabbed Kacie from behind and pinned her arms down. Kacie immediately kicked her leg backward and hit him in the private area with her foot and the big kid dropped her immediately. She then stomped on his foot. He then tried to grab her again and Kacie bit him on his arm. She saw her chance to get away and ran home screaming mommy, mommy, all the way home. This was her first experience being held and bullied like this and I was proud of her for defending herself and seizing the moment  to run away. The outcome of this fight and her ability to defend herself and get away is a direct result of the training she received from you at Family Karate Center.

Thank you Again!

Terrie Majeed
